Make space for your upcoming move<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Get rid of things you don\u2019t need \u2013 donate to charity, sell quality items and throw out junk.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run down supplies of perishable food; get rid of old food in the pantry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collect boxes and packing materials &#8211; check your local supermarket or storage warehouse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Get Packing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the best tips for moving home is to have a solid packing plan:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Start packing in advance. If possible make it at least three business days before you plan to move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget to update your details with other important services like&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.netflix.com\/au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Netflix<\/a><strong>, <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxtel.com.au\/got.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Foxtel<\/a>&nbsp;and your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.originenergy.com.au\/internet\/\">internet&nbsp;provider<\/a>. Before you move, it&#8217;s best to make a list of all of your current services, and tick them off as you go.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Redirect your post<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Save time and use the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/auspost.com.au\/parcels-mail\/redirecting-your-mail.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">online service offered by Australia Post<\/a>&nbsp;to create an account and have your mail redirected to your new address. You can choose to have your redirection for 3, 6 or 12 months.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mobile phone accounts, online subscriptions and banking details can all be changed online.&nbsp;Government departments such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.humanservices.gov.au\/customer\/subjects\/medicare-services\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Medicare<\/a> and the electoral commission can also be changed online \u2013 a full list can be found&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.australia.gov.au\/information-and-services\/family-and-community\/change-my-address\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You&#8217;ll need to check with your doctors, vets, childcare and\/or schools as to whether they have an online update service.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.
