As part of this, we announced plans to accelerate our exit from coal-fired power generation, potentially as early as August 2025 (seven years ahead of schedule). We also recently received approval<\/a> for a large-scale battery<\/a> to be installed at the Eraring site. The proposed battery has an overall capacity of up to 700 MW and a dispatch duration of four hours, making it Australia\u2019s largest battery project<\/a> to achieve planning approval to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As well as looking at how we can make reduce the emissions intensity of our generation assets, we\u2019re also working on developing innovative low-emissions technologies.
