You don\u2019t have to wait for us to come and read your meter, you can take control and do it yourself. Doing your own meter read allows you to track your cost, usage and see your predicted bill amount, any day of the week.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how to do it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare &#8211; If you\u2019re on the app, you\u2019ll find \u2018Read my own meter\u2019 under the \u2018Account\u2019 menu. If you\u2019re on the website, go here. Select your account and make sure the serial number matches the one on your bill.<\/li>\n<li>Find your meter &#8211; If you\u2019re in a unit, townhouse or warehouse, your meter is most likely outside. If not, try your hallway, laundry, garage, porch or external wall. If you\u2019re in an apartment, find out how to get access by chatting to your body corporate, building manager or real estate agent.<\/li>\n<li>Identify &#8211; Check the serial number matches the one in the app or on the website.<\/li>\n<li>Record &#8211; It\u2019s as simple as entering the numbers.
