For over 15 years she\u2019s been part of the Origin team\npromoting financial inclusion and resilience and providing support for\nvulnerable customers. \u201cAs Origin Project Lead Advocacy Programs, my role is all\nabout ensuring our vulnerable customers receive the support they need, so they\ncan continue to turn on their lights and get back on track,\u201d said Mel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAs Origin Project Lead Advocacy Programs, my role is all about ensuring our vulnerable customers receive the support they need, so they can continue to turn on their lights and get back on track.\u201d <\/p>– Mel Homes-Allen<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Since 2003, we\u2019ve been supporting vulnerable customers to get on top of their energy bills and stay there through Origin\u2019s hardship program, Power On.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Mel explains, \u201cwe meet hundreds of customers at events such as Bring Your Bills Day. They bring along their bills, letters from retailers and any concession cards. We\u2019re able to provide face-to-face support, help people understand their bills, ensure they\u2019re on the best plan for them and provide energy saving tips. For customers facing financial difficulty, we\u2019re able to apply eligible rebates to their accounts and discuss options to help manage their ongoing energy costs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
